Irus SmartTank adds an advanced layer of insight, protection, and control to your property.
Fully integrated with the Irus Portal, SmartTank continuously monitors key temperature data, including incoming cold supply, top and bottom tank water temperatures, and hot water supply, to ensure optimal system performance and safety.
In addition, SmartTank meters both hot and cold-water usage, sending instant alerts when unusual volumes or temperature fluctuations are detected. This data supports proactive management of water safety plans, helping to mitigate Legionella risk and maintain compliance.
Tundish sensors provide early warning of pressure ‘blow-off’ events, while integration with local leak sensors alerts personnel to any escape of water. These rapid notifications enable swift intervention, preventing damage, reducing maintenance costs, and safeguarding both buildings and occupants.
Using the existing Irus infrastructure, SmartTank communicates seamlessly with the Irus Portal, enabling centralised, remote monitoring across your entire estate.
What additional equipment is required?
Depending on the complexity of the site, your installation may include:
SmartTank with integrated Controls
Leak Detection Sensor
What does SmartTank report?
SmartTank arrives on site pre-plumbed, pre-wired with integrated control system. Installation simply requires connection to main electricuty and water supply.
There are 15 sensors that monitor and report:
Temperature:
- Cold water supply
- Return water
- Hot water out
- Upper element
- Lower element
Volume:
- Cold water supply
- Balanced Cold water out
- Hot water
Escape of water:
- Tundish flow
- Leaks
Cupboard environment:
- Air temperature
- Humidity
- Light
- Noise
- Presence
What does Optimiser+ SmartTank tell you?
Optimiser+SmartTank analyses and displays data from your water system. It shows performance, identifies current issues, and highlights potential problems.
Graphs and tables present the percentage of tanks in the spotlight, both recently and historically. Unusual consumption and temperatures are also highlighted.
To distinguish between “Areas for concern” and “Good” performance, the number of tanks affected, are displayed in red or green panels respectively.
Optimiser also provides guidance information for quick fixes. Immediate action will improve performance and ensure your system is running efficiently.
Data analysed includes:
- Tank Cupboard Humidity
- Energy Use
- Water Safety
- High Consumers – Water
- Service Faults
- Sensor Faults
An information panel explains:
- What each panel represents
- What “good” looks like
- How to access more information
