Often living on their own for the fist time, students can be easily distracted when preparing food, leaving the electric hob unattended when they take a phone call or answer the door. Sheltered accommodation managers have peace of mind that vulnerable adults cannot put themselves in harms way by forgetting to turn off their hob. While Airbnb and holiday letting property landlords and property owners are confident that they’re doing all they can to keep their guests safe while in unfamiliar surroundings.

This easy to use and simple to install device ‘watches’ the electric hob. When dangerous temperature levels are approached warning lights and audible beeps alert those close by that there is an issue.

If no action is taken, the power to the electric hob is cut well in advance of the flash-point being reached. When the pan has cooled sufficiently, cooking can resume.
