Both these systems operate in the same way – maintaining comfortable room temperatures but affording the occupant the ability to alter their environment within pre-set limits. Both sense when rooms are empty or if windows are open and both are constantly striving to reduce heat input.

The main consideration is the number of rooms you have to control. If more than 100 then the choice is whether you require local or central control, the latter will provide a wide range of additional features.

These devices are designed to prevent hobs from being inadvertently left on if the cook is distracted or leaves the kitchen. Both can be used as standalone units, but HobSensus actively alerts occupants to hob status and can integrate with Irus to unlock additional features.
